Easy DIY Crepes

This weekend I came across an easy recipe for at home Crepes! I think the reason I am overly excited about this is because you can make it with evaporated milk, so no milk no problem. I always have cans of this stocked up for Indian Chai and of course on Sunday we had run out of our 2% milk. This recipe took me about 15 minutes total from start to finish!

**I have altered the recipe so I have typed out my directions and linked the original recipe down below**

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (240 ml) evaporated skim milk

  • 4 large eggs

  • 1 Tablespoon granulated sugar

  • 1 cup (125 g) all-purpose flour

  • Butter for greasing your pan

(This will make about 10 - 12 crepes)

1. Mix milk, eggs, and sugar in a bowl. Beat with a fork for 2 minutes or until properly mixed.

2. Next add flour to the bowl, mix for 2 minutes vigorously or until batter is smooth.

3. Pour 3 Tablespoons (45 ml) of batter into hot, lightly buttered crepe pan or 8-inch fry pan. Tilt to spread batter. Crepe is done when set on top and lightly browned on bottom. Enjoy!

You can have this crepe sweet or savory so here are a few ideas to get you going.

Sweet: Nutella, Nutella with sliced bananas/coconut/shaved almonds, honey.

Savory: Mushroom with spinach and cheest, steak and cheese, shredder chicken and Tabasco sauce etc.

Really the world is your oyster when it comes to filling crepes!

Comment below if you tried this recipe, I love to here what people filled their crepes with! Or upload a photo on social media and tag #twoafterido
